180 Club Continues at Compass Elementary on Tuesdays, at Warford Elementary and Butcher Greene Elementary on Wednesdays, and at Ervin Elementary on Thursdays.

People are immeasurably valuable because they are made in the image of God. MtG's after-school 180 Club helps kids incorporate this truth into their everyday lives. Children with a positive self-image are less likely to engage in risky behavior. Furthering their chances at success in school and in life.

Minding the Gap works with students who are falling behind in reading and do not qualify for an Individualized Education Plan. Our team commits to spending one hour per week with a child for mentoring, tutoring, and a lot of fun!

Dates vary according to volunteers' schedules.

We will help serve Thanksgiving dinner, watch a movie and celebrate Compass' recognition as a Gold Ribbon school. They are inviting us to be a part of the celebration and will allow us to promote Minding the Gap.

We will help serve the Kindergarten thru 2nd graders a Thanksgiving lunch.

We will distribute ice cream sandwiches to the classes with the best attendance. I am attaching a picture from last month's celebration. Anyone can participate. You do not need a Background Check.

Training for Minding the Gap volunteers who want to serve in the after-school 180 Club in one or more area schools, as teacher, helper or in music ministry. Snacks provided.

MtG Volunteers Connect and Cookout at Joe Blattert's home, 11309 Cypress Ave, KCMO 64137. Come join us for a cookout! Minding the Gap will provide hamburgers, hot dogs and buns. We just completed our first year and are so excited to celebrate what the Lord has done. On Saturday, July 9th we will be hosting a year end celebration. At this celebration we will present awards, hear favorite memories, share vision for next year, and enjoy a catered lunch. We will also have an opportunity to hear from the school principals and other school staff as they share about the impact Minding the Gap has had in their schools. At the Gamber Community Center in Lee's Summit.
